Cala Boadella (Sa Boadella), Lloret de Mar

Cala Boadella, also known as Sa Boadella, is a small Blue Flag-certified cove. It lies between the Santa Clotilde Gardens and Fenals Beach.

History & origins

The cove is one of five Blue Flag-certified beaches in Lloret de Mar, along with Lloret, Fenals, Santa Cristina and Canyelles. Its small size makes it a more intimate cove than the large urban beaches.

Heritage & architecture

Just above the cove lie the Santa Clotilde Gardens, inspired by Italian Renaissance design, laid out by landscape architect Nicolau Rubió i Tudurí and commissioned by the Marquis of Roviralta; construction began in 1919. Listed as a "Cultural Asset of National Interest" by Catalonia in 1994, they overlook the sea between Cala Boadella and Fenals Beach.
